Hi, I'm Summer.

Currently, I'm designing experiments and evals for learning.

Previously, I

• led special projects at a robotics startup.
• took a gap year to spend time with family in China and self-study mechanistic interpretability.
• advised non-profits on settlement services for newcomers to Canada.
• almost became a quant.

I grew up in Beijing and Vancouver. I like books, calisthenics, long walks, and snowboarding.

Music is a big part of my life — I started piano at 4, practiced 6 hours a day one summer, and dabble in a few stringed instruments (ukulele, guitar, electric and double bass). My favourite artists are here.
